What is CBT for Depression?

CBT for Depression is an active and structured form of therapy that involves learning to understand and ultimately change how patterns of thoughts/beliefs, feelings, and behaviors interact with one another.

For example, research has shown that people who experience depression spend a significant amount of time and attention focused on their shortcomings.

Learning to recognize an underlying process such as negative ruminations and implementing strategic responses in its place is a core component of CBT for Depression.

The Most Common Additional Interventions for Depression Include:

  • Behavioral Activation
  • Cognitive Restructuring
  • Mindfulness-Based Strategies
  • Compassion-Focused Training

YCBT Services integrates evidence-based techniques with mindfulness and compassion to help you achieve meaningful change
